The two people at right are wearing dress hats, and the person at far left is wearing a newsboy cap. Standing second from the right might be Ken Kutsukake. The street is identified as Front Street in downtown Kaslo, BC. The men are standing in front of the New Canadian / Kootenaian newspaper offices. The buildings behind the automobile and to the right include the old school (Farmer's Institute building) and the old King George Hotel (far right with the turret).
