history of use | The photo shows Sotojiro Matsumya in the middle who was president of the Vancouver Asahi as well as president of Matsumiya Stores on Powell Street.
Danzo Tanabe was an employee of Matsumiya Stores on Powell street who came from Shiga Pref., particularly same village as Tanaka brothers of the Vancouver Asahi.
Yonetaro Fukai was the writer of the Continental Daily newspaper who was from Gunma Pref.
Tashiro Natsuhara was the owner of the drug store, Taisho-do, in Vancouver, BC. In 1920, Tashiro Natsuhara transferred his drug store business to Ihachi Miyazaki. |
