namePhotograph

dateCirca 1930

descriptionThe image is a sepia toned photograph with a white border around the image. The image depicts a small wooden bridge with railings on either side crossing a stream. On either side of the embankment, underneath the bridge, are large rocks along the side of the bank. A smaller, identical bridge can be seen in the background, as well as a number of trees, similarly large rocks, moss, and a large wooden building under construction, surrounded by white structures. To the far right pictured, partially out of frame, is a handmade ishi-dōrō (石灯籠) - a traditional Japanese stone garden lantern.
